Join us at the Outer Banks as we, once again, enjoy the rhythm of the tide, the feel of sand between our toes, and the sun on our faces. This year we will be looking deeply into what it means to be godly and holy. I think that you will be a bit surprised how God’s Word describes our potential based upon His design for the Christian Life.

In between all of our sessions, there will be plenty of time to reconnect with old friends and to make some new ones as well. Sunrise devotions, ice cream covered pop tarts, spontaneous song-fest, amazing food, and dancing…what’s not to like?!

We will be staying at Camp Emmanuel, located at:

What should I pack?

The basics: Clothing (remember you will probably be getting hot and sweaty – it never hurts to bring extras!), toiletries, sheets, pillow, towels & washcloths, sandals/flip flops, clothing/shoes that you are comfortable dancing in, a nicer set of clothes for the final dance on Thursday night, flashlight, snacks, water bottles, sunglasses, Bible, notebook, wallet/cash, etc.

Beach gear: SUNSCREEN, swimsuit/coverup, beach towel, boogie boards, beach chair/blanket, umbrella, etc.

What are the cabins like? 

The cabins are carpeted, air-conditioned, and furnished with bunk beds (usually 10 people to a cabin).  Each cabin has one bathroom & shower. Sheets & towels are NOT provided, so be sure to bring your own (see packing list above)! Also please be aware that there are only a few outlets in each cabin.

What meals are provided? 

Breakfast and dinner are provided at the camp each day, except for Wednesday – we will be taking a day trip up to Corolla and are hoping to eat out for dinner together somewhere up there (so bring some cash). Lunches are on your own. Most people spend their free time in the afternoon at the beach, so snacks and easily portable food are good things to bring. There are also plenty of restaurants and grocery stores around.  We will have fridge space available at the camp but it may be limited, so bringing a cooler would not be a bad idea.

Is dancing mandatory?

Our wonderful dance caller, Autumn, will be teaching & calling several contra dances each night, with a more “formal” dance the last night  (a good opportunity to dress up!).  We’re not saying she’ll drag you out on the dance floor and make you at least try, but we’re not promising she won’t, either.

Is this a matchmaking camp?

Nope!  Our goal is to challenge you in your faith and connect you with like-minded young adults. If the friendships formed here turn into something more, that is fantastic!  But that is not our focus.
